Lieut. Charley Price, of Shawnee, who was killed in an aviation accident at Houston, Texas last Sunday, was well and favorably known in Ada. His brother, Duncan Price was a member of the East Central Students Army Training Corps.

The body of Charley Price, the young Shawnee aviator killed Sunday at Houston, Texas will arrive in Shawnee Wednesday afternoon on the Katy, according to a dispatch received today by A. B. Jones from Lieut. Andrews who is accompanying the body. Andrews expected to arrive in Shawnee tonight , but said in his dispatch that he had been delayed. The shock to Charley's mother has been so great that it has been impossible to make any plans for the funeral, but it will probably not be held until Thursday or Friday. Dispatches Monday , stated that Price had made a test flight trying out the field and was making a landing. When about one hundred and fifty feet up, the plane side slipped running its nose in the ground killing Charley, but that his passenger, Lieut. Quinn, escaped without injury---Tuesday's Shawnee News - Herald.
