Bill Hendrix, 78 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

He was born January 1, 1940 to Wilby and Alma Hendrix in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

Bill was raised in the Tulsa area. He lived in Oklahoma City until moving to Tecumseh in 1975 where he has since lived.

Bill was a long haul truck driver for over 50 years.

He enjoyed fishing, long haul driving and CB radio.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Ray Hendrix; grandson, Douglas Gene Lupton; his parents; brother, Jerry Lee Hendrix; and sister, Sue Richardson; and former wife, LaJuan Hendrix.

Bill is survived by 6 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Teresa Hendrix of Carrollton, TX, Gloria Contreras of Grand Prairie, TX, Donna and Greg Espinosa of Bagwell, TX, Thelma and Steve Strong of Baton Rouge, LA, Sandra Tigner of Shawnee, OK and Denna Tigner of Shawnee, OK; 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Randy Eugene and Kim Hendrix of Bagwell, TX and Danny Tigner of Shawnee, OK; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Wilby Hendrix, Jr. of Greenville, TX;and many loving friends and extended family members.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018 and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee with Reverend Will Bentley officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
