Bodil (Rasmussen) Roper, age 80, of El Reno, OK, formerly of Newalla, OK, was born July 18, 1936, in Viborg, Denmark. She was the daughter of Edvard G. & Helene Marie (Caspersen) Rasmussen. She left this life on Monday, December 19, 2016, in El Reno, OK.

Bodil graduated from high school in Copenhagen, Denmark. She attended the First Baptist Church of Newalla, OK. Bodil enjoyed doing puzzles, cross stitch, knitting, and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed nature and liked to get up early and sit on her front porch and enjoy the outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert G. Roper and brother, Bjarne Rasmussen.

Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Ron & Sandra Roper, Minco, OK; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Ann Marie & Russell Pemberton, Belton, MO, Tina & Robert Stone, Belton, MO; brother, Bjorn Rasmussen, Nykobing, Denmark; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
