Frieda Elizbeth (Wolff) Kimberlin was born June 10, 1940, to Paul Henry Wolff and Hedwig Schauer Wolff in Glendale, New York. She left her earthly home on Dec. 12, 2014, at home in Shawnee.

Raised a Catholic, she was baptized in St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Ridgewood, New York. While residing in Tulsa, she became a member of St. Pius X Church.

In her later years, she resided in Shawnee and became a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.

She married Lowell Neil Kimberlin on June 12, 1965, on Long Island, New York, but it ended with the two parting ways after several years of marriage.

Proud of her German heritage, she was a member of the German American Society of Tulsa.

Her career was that of an executive assistant for various companies. After early retirement, due to a stroke, she remained very active with her flower beds, dancing, being with friends, and dressing up in costumes she made for various occasions. She loved talking to old friends from New York called Bushwick Buddies.

Frieda is preceded in death by her father, her mother and a cousin, Marie Robertazzi.

Those who survive her are her sister, Edna Semon, of Woodside Queens, New York; nephew, Gary Semon, of Belleville, New Jersey; one son, Eric Kimberlin, of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Melissa Taylor, and husband, David, of Sasakwa; one grandson, Holden Ginn, of Idabel; two granddaughters, Nicole Nelson and Hayley Osse, of Hugo; one great-granddaughter, Kira Nelson, of Hugo, and one great-grandson, in January, in Idabel.

Left to carry her memories are her best friends, Jackie Marquadt, East Northport Long Island, New York, of almost 60 years and Susan Patterson, of Claremore, of 40 years, along with a host of family and friends.

The celebration of her life and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Shawnee. Father Joseph Schwarz will be the celebrant.

Burial of her ashes will be at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee.
