Dale Henry Guinn, age 85, of Shawnee, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 in Shawnee.

He was born August 1, 1934 in Ada, OK to Henry and Anna B. (Reaves) Guinn.

Dale graduated from Bethel High School in 1952 and lived in Shawnee most of his adult life.

He married Patricia Ann Hallman on December 26, 1957 in Shawnee.

Dale proudly served his country with The United States Marine Corp.

After his time in the military he went to work as a switchman for Rock Island Railroad and retired from Union Pacific.

Dale was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and The Elks Club.

He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and watching Oklahoma State University sports.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kathy Dallene Guinn; and sister, Berna Dean Humphrey.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Daniel Washburn of Tecumseh; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Diane Guinn of Eufaula; grandson, Jared Champlin of Shawnee; granddaughter and husband, Jessica and Kelly Barnes of Choctaw; great granddaughter, Bowen Barnes of Choctaw; sister, Sue Minyard of Holdenville; brother, Jim Guinn of Seminole; brother-in-law, Bob Humphrey of Seminole; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 and continue until service time. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Blackburn Cemetery, Bethel Acres with Brother Larry Sparks officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
