DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is on the south side of the road, just west of, and sharing the same entrance to, Memorial Park Cemetery.
Swan Hill cemetery was started by Joe and Lane Gifford. They owned the land, and because they were in the monument business, they decided to petition the County Commissioners for a cemetery at that location. The petition was granted in 1985. They sold the cemetery to the Loewen Corporation from Canada in January, 1999.
