Services for Nora LaVelle Wallis, 92, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Lewis Perry will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wallis died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at a local nursing home. She was born March 19, 1922 in Vanoss to Ezra and Nettie Byers Hunt.

She married Glen Snooks Wallis on May 14, 1941, in Ada. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2002. She was a homemaker and attended Stratford Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Briggs and husband Bill and Karen Risenhoover and husband Billy R., all of Ada; three sisters, Virginia Maxey of Red Oak, OK, June McCann of Ada and Sadie Daniels of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Kenneth Hunt of Ada and David Hunt of Fayetteville, NC; three grandchildren, William Briggs and wife Vassi of Clinton, OK, Robert Briggs and wife Shari of Ada and Melanie Carson and husband Ted, Jr. of Ada; seven great-grandchildren, Heath Briggs and wife Natalie of Ada, Emily Roberts and husband Trent of Ada, Taylor Canida of Ada, Cody Canida of Oklahoma City, OK and Dalton Carson of Ada, Dacy Briggs and wife Megan of Texas, Lauren Banks and husband Dillion of Missour and their mother, Jana Morrow; three great great-grandchildren, Hayden Briggs of Ada, Cadence Briggs of Texas and Makayla Banks of Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Harold Glen Wallis; four sisters, Vera Bratcher, Jean George, Marjorie Vandigriff and Thelma Lehman and two brothers, Marvin Hunt and Floyd Hunt.
