Services for Ellen Christene Johnson Shirley, 85, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Ms. Shirley passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at her home. She was born January 13, 1932 at Centrahoma to Henry Kenneth and Ollie Mae Peak Gore. She attended Tupelo schools.

She married Richard D. Johnson in 1954 at Coalgate. He preceded her in death in 1984 at Allen. Ms. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Johnston of Ada; a son, Bobby Johnson of Allen; a daughter, Freda Riggs of Ada; two sisters, Margaret Buchanan of Oklahoma City and Juanita Carnell of Yukon; a brother, Jim Gore of Ada; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Johnson; a son, Melvin Johnson; and several brothers.

Bearers will be Billy Johnson, Eric Johnson, David Riggs, Damien Johnson, Dakota Clifford and David Morrison.
