Graveside services for Johnny Eldon Sanders, 85, of Ada are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. Dean Stone will officiate. Open visitation will be held Monday, May 16 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Sanders passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Newcastle, OK. He was born September 6, 1936 in Stratford, OK to Johnie Woodrow and Jessie Eurmal McCracken Sanders.

He married Evelyn Abbott. She preceded him in death. Mr. Sanders served in the United States Army and later retired from Brockway Glass Maintenance Department after 37 years of service.

Mr. Sanders is survived by his son Bobby Sanders of Stratford; two daughters, Lori Sanders Crabb of Bakersfield, CA and Tammy Sanders Bliss of Newcastle, OK; two brothers, Robert Sanders of Oklahoma City, OK and Edward Sanders of Arp, Texas; three sisters, Joyce Pittman, Erma Turner and Wilma Sanders, all of Ada; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Sanders; his parents; daughter, Debbie Sanders Finn; son, Ricky Sanders; brother, Jim Sanders; sister, Geneva Jamar; and a granddaughter.

In Lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Oklahoma City Cancer Society.
