Services for Frances Carolyn Vaden Riggs, 81, of Ada, are 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Lawrence Gregory will lead the Celebration of Life. A Private burial will be at a later date at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Riggs died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Allen, Texas. She was born July 21, 1933 in Ada to Alfred McDaniel and Fay Louise Allen Vaden. She attended school in Ada and graduated from Ada High School and East Central University.

She married Ronald Ray Riggs. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1959 at Henderson Air Force Base, Nevada as a result of an Air Force plane crash. Mrs. Riggs was a Second Grade teacher at Hayes Elementary in Ada until her retirement. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, a bridge club, the Ada Elk’s Lodge #1640 and many military service organizations. She was an Air Force Widow.

Survivors include a grandson, Michael Keith Riggs of California; and two nieces, Susan Hanna and family of Allen, TX and Janan Kautz of Seminole, OK.
