Services for Albert Rich, 74, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Rich died Friday, August 25, 2017 at his home. He was born October 21, 1942 in Ada to Hubert and Virginia Ruth Rich. He graduated from Ada High School.

He married Mary Frances Gouge on December 21, 1963 in Ada. Mr. Rich was a Certified Optician at Oklahoma Optical for 23 years, then working at J. P. EMCO, and Dr. Irby’s office before becoming owner operator of Quality Optical until 1995. He was also a Kiwanis little league umpire and coach, and a member of the Jaycees and Kiwanis Clubs.

Survivors include is his wife Mary, of the home; two daughters, Lena Hurley of Ada, and Leah DeAnn McDonald and husband Kevin of Ada; one son, Samuel Rich and wife Terry of Houston, TX; one brother, George Gale Rich of McAlester; one sister, Sandra Rhynes of Ada; eight grandchildren, Amy Bradley, Tasha Hurley, Tara Kennedy, Sierra Rich, Ashley McDonald, Tryvn McDonald, D. J. Lewis, and Wyatt McDonald; 11 great-grandchildren, Kelsee, Olivea, Sara, Teagen, Tracen, Kaiden, Parker, Khalon, Hudson, Holden, and expecting another in February 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Virginia Rich; one sister, Janet Crownover Lane, and one brother, Tyson Crownover.

Bearers will be Sam Rich, Gale Rich, Glen Gouge, John Kennedy, Mike Bradley, Kevin McDonald, Trace Ripple, and Shaun Runcie.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Ada High School Special Education Department, Ada City Schools, P. O. Box 1359, Ada, OK 74820.
