Graveside memorial services for Joe Hoyt Pryor, 78, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Rosedale Cemetery, Bronson Warren will officiate.

Mr. Pryor passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at an Edmond hospital. He was born January 3, 1940 at Ada to Joe Hoyt and Edwina Jones Pryor. He attended school at San Angelo, TX and graduated from high school in San Angelo. He received his Master’s in Education from East Central University in Ada.

He married Judy Marie Hutchings March 30, 1962. Mr. Pryor was a Teacher at Ada High School for 30 years. He taught shop, drafting and geography. He also supervised East Central Student Teachers. Mr. Pryor was involved with several bands throughout his lifetime performing for social events in the Ada area. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ada.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; a daughter, Julie Carter and her husband Randy of Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Katelyn Wilson and her husband Ryan of Tulsa and Kyndel Carter and Mason Dillard of Ada; and a sister, Dr. Jill and Dr. Dana Solem of Aloha, OR.
