Services for Mildred Marie Phelps, 91, of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Phelps died Friday, January 12, 2018 at a local nursing home. She was born May 14, 1926, in Coalgate, to Gay and Desse Ware Rodgers. She attended Coalgate and Ada schools.
She married Edgar “Ed” Phelps in Coalgate on July 6, 1942. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1990. Mrs. Phelps retired from Valley View Regional Hospital as a LPN after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Kinsey and husband Bill of Ada; one sister, Dorothy Comeaux of Lafayette, LA; one granddaughter, Kim Johnston of Castle Rock, CO; three great-children; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Eddie Phelps; and a grandson, Davey Brecheen.
