Services for Carolyn Sue Pettigrew, 70, of Ada will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Seth Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Pettigrew died Friday, July 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. She was born January 25, 1945 in Wapanucka to Bud and Ova Smith Blankenship. She attended Latta High School.

She married Jackson D. Pettigrew May 21, 1962. They were married for 53 years. She worked at Valley View Regional Hospital as a cook for several years. She attended Kiamichi Vo-Tech and received a license as a Dietary Technician and worked for Ada Retirement before finally starting her own business, Sue’s Fried Pies.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Pettigrew, of the home; three children, Sheila Boucher and husband Dwayne, Jacky Pettigrew and Anna Gore and husband Jayme, all of Ada; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel Blankenship and Benny Blankenship; and two sisters, Janette Vaughn and husband James and Sondra Jansen and husband Randy; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Ova Blankenship, and one brother, Buddy Blankenship.

Bearers will be Jacky Pettigrew, Shane Tatum, Ben Blankenship, Brian Blankenship, Timmy Wilson, Kerry Sutton, Daniel Ray Blankenship and Seth Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Dwayne Boucher, Jayme Gore, Brown Wilmoth and Parker Gore.
