Charles Wesley Nester

Services for Charles Wesley Nester, 86, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Colbert Baptist Church, Dr. Bob Payne will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Nester died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at his home. He was born November 17, 1928 in Dustin to Lurty and Beatrice Ballard Nester. He attended Dustin schools.

He married Maxine McKinney in 1948. Mr. Nester was a mechanic and later retired as the Shop Superintendent at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Mr. Nester served in the U. S. Army Air Corps from 1946-1947.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine, of the home; two daughters, Kaye Bennett and husband John of Ada and Linda Priest of Ada; a sister, Alma Wynn of Wetumka; eight grandchildren, Mitchell Deaton, Wes Bennett, Cody Priest, Jason Nester, Sarah Bennett, Keisha Lee, Jacob Nester and Colton Priest; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wayne Nester.

Bearers will be his grandsons.
