Services for Richard Dean Metcalf, 86, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James D. Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Metcalf passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at an Oklahoma City hospice. He was born April 9, 1931 at Emporia, KS to Roy and Nora Pattison Metcalf. He attended Kansas schools and he and his family moved to Ada as a youth.

He married Wanda Charlene Stone August 15, 1977. She preceded him in death April 17, 2004. Mr. Metcalf was the owner of an auto salvage business until his retirement. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1947 until 1964.

Survivors include four sons, Jody Turner and wife Debbie of Madill, Jim Turner of Byng, Charles Turner of Kingston and Billy Turner of Ardmore; three daughters, Lisa Winter and husband David of Jones, Lori Metcalf and husband Doug of Oklahoma City and Lisa Pryor of Ada; a brother, Raleigh Metcalf of Mustang; ten grandchildren, Chris Turner, Carris Crowe, Cody Turner, Britny Walkup, Jessie Turner, Nicole Winter, Cameron Smith, Caleb Smith, Shalene Metcalf and Glen Metcalf; 11 great-grandchildren, Alyvia Turner, Matt Turner, Matthew Crowe, Brinly Crowe, Emma Crowe, Trendon Walkup, Rowan Walkup, Britleigh Estes, Jagger Estes, Aydrian Turner and Brooklyn Reese.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, Richard Metcalf, Jr.; sister, Marion Lister; and a brother, George Metcalf.
