Services for Richard Dean Metcalf, Jr., 60, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Metcalf died Monday, November 24, 2014 at a Sulphur Veterans Center. He was born August 11, 1954 in Ada to Richard Dean and Ruth Nilsen Metcalf. He attended Byng Schools.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force stationed in Guam during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his father, Richard Dean Metcalf, Sr. of Ada; two sisters, Lisa Winter and Lori Metcalf of Oklahoma City, OK; step-sister Lisa Pryor of Ada; four step-brothers, Billy Turner of Pauls Valley, OK, Charles Turner of Kingston, OK, Jimmy Turner of Ada and Jody Turner of Madill, OK; and adopted children, Shalene, Joe and Glen.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Metcalf, and step-mother, Wanda Metcalf.

Bearers will be Jody Turner, Charles Turner, Jimmy Turner, Chris Turner, Cody Turner and David Winter.
