Andrea “Jo” Meharg, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away June 11, 2019 at the age of 68. Jo was born November 11, 1950 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to James G. and Lois “June” (Johnson) Malcom.

Jo worked in various doctors’ offices for years and was a homemaker the last several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.

She leaves cherished memories with her husband, John L. Meharg, Jr. of the home; son Jonathan Meharg of Norman; stepson Jason Melton and wife Serah of Edmond; grandchildren Carter Meharg of Norman, Kamrynn Melton and Kaesen Melton, both of Edmond; brother Rocky Malcom of Konawa; sister-in-law Stacey Golightly and husband Charlie; 4 nieces, 1 nephew; and countless friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff (nursing, PT, RT, etc) of the PCU Unit of Norman Regional Hospital and Dr. Tom Whalen and April Whalen for the loving care given to Jo over the last 6 months, and especially to those nurses that cared for her in her last hours.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, from 2-8 pm at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. Services to celebrate Jo’s life will be 10:00 am Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, OK.

Donations may be made to the Norman Animal Shelter or Norman Regional Health System Foundation, benefitting NRH PCU.
