Graveside Services for Doris Marie (Neal) McKain, 92, is 9:00 A.M. Saturday, May 21 2022 at Rosedale Cemetery. There will be a family visitation at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, Friday, May 20, 2022 from 6-8:00 P.M.
Doris McKain was born September 16, 1929, at San Antonio, Texas to Jessie (Neal) Donegan and Leslie Wade Donegan. She passed to her heavenly home on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the age of 92.
Doris married John Macklyn McKain in Coalgate, Oklahoma on December 23, 1945. They were married 63 years before John’s passing in 2009. Her greatest calling in life was the role of mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent her time taking her grandchildren shopping, hosting overnight trips to Ada for gymnastic camp, basketball camp, park outings and numerous other activities. Doris worked over thirty years at Washington Elementary School where the many students who passed through were considered her children as well. She also served in the Pontotoc County Election Board for many years. Doris was a long-time, active member of the First United Methodist Church in Ada for many years.
Those left to cherish Doris’ memory are her children; Suzy and Bennie Green of Caddo, Vicki and Mike Case of Prague, Kathy and Michael Dargel of Salina; her grandchildren, Travis Green of Caddo, John Kyle and Tisha Green of Caddo, Megan Case of Stroud, Missy Case of Prague, Brett and Brooke Case of Prague, Nicholas Dargel of Chandler, McKenna Dargel of Boulder City, NV, Bethany and Aaron Sunday of Coweta, Kristin and Brett Swindell of Owasso; her great-grandchildren, Traven Green, Braden Green, Cylas Daniel, Cannon Green, Ragan Green, Zoey Walls, Brody Case, Blakely Case, Baylor Case, Connor Sunday, Lucas Sunday, Emilee Swindell, granddog, Macklyn.
