Services for Robert “Bob” Fred McGuire, 84, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. McGuire passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his home. He was born June 30, 1931 in Maud to John and Alice Edwards McGuire. He graduated from East Central University in Ada.

He married Billie Ray May 25, 1951 at the First Baptist Church in Ada. Mr. McGuire retired from Chevron Oil Company after 39 years of service. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and had served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Billie, of the home; a son, Bobby McGuire and his wife Charlene of Magnolia, TX; a daughter, Terri McGuire Watson and her husband Tim of Southlake, TX; his grandchildren, Katie McGuire Meyer and her husband Kevin, Kristi McGuire, Patrick McGuire Watson and Caroline McGuire Watson; two great-grandchildren, Kinley Meyer and Kolbie Meyer; a sister, Joyce Bradley of Rockwall, TX; and two brothers, Delbert McGuire of Ardmore and Jim McGuire of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Bill McGuire.

Honorary bearers will be the Wade Evans Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church.
