Memorial services for Lawrence Dale Legate, 68, of Whitesboro, TX are 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bud Ross will officiate.

Mr. Legate passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Denison, TX. He was born July 21, 1954 in Ada, OK to William Neil and Ollie Hugh Hill Legate. Mr. Legate attended Byng High School and furthered his education at East Central University. He was a locomotive engineer for the BNSF Railroad for 42 years.

Mr. Legate was a devoted son, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his mother, Ollie Legate, of Ada; one son, Phillip Legate, of Ada; one daughter, Brandy Reynolds, of Howe, TX; one step-daughter, Haley Cooper, of Little Elm, TX and four grandchildren, Taylor Reynolds, Zoey Reynolds, Trinity Shearer and Christian Killgo.

Mr. Legate was preceded in death by his father and one brother, David Legate.
