Services for Bob Langston, 82, of Ada, will be Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Ada, OK. Reverend Brian Matthews will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, OK.
Robert Edward “Bob” Langston was born January 25, 1941 in Wynnewood Oklahoma. He passed away May 5, 2023 in Ada, Oklahoma.
He was born, raised and graduated high school at Wynnewood, OK. He was a member of the marching band and played football. He graduated from East Central University, Ada. Later had advanced studies at Perkins School of Theology. He served in the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference as an ordained minister from 1976 until the time of his death. He pastored several churches in Oklahoma during that time.,br>
Some of Bob’s favorite pastimes were fishing, being on the boat, spending time at the lake house with family, and watching sports.
Bob married Janet Barnett on Oct. 19, 1991. He is survived by his wife Janet, daughter Lisa Cushman (Robert) of Houston, TX; daughter Lori Jetton (Dana) Sapulpa, OK; grandchildren Austin Cushman, Tristen Cushman (Isabella) of Houston, TX, Kyle Moeller (Brianna) and Micah Moeller of Tulsa, OK; Crystal Johnson, Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren Amy and Lincoln Cushman, and Finley Cushman; brothers Guy Langston (Vicky) and Jim Langston; and mother-in-law, Maxine Bottenberg of Bartlesville, OK.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents O’Neal and Gladys Langston, brother Mitch, sister Ruth Mary Harris, daughter Elizabeth Ann Langston, son Mark Barnett, and grandson Robert Tyler Cushman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Foundation.
