Services for Johnny Churchill Kirby, 99, of Ada are 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gary Brandt will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Kirby passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his home. He was born February 29, 1924, in Ada to Walter A. and Eula Belle Crow Kirby.

On May 3, 1950, he married Peggy Rose Leary in Roundup, Montana. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Kirby was an Electronic Tech. for Texas Inst. in Dallas until his retirement.

Mr. Kirby is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home and one son, Gary Kirby and Laura Morrison of St. Louis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Judson Kirby, James Kirby, and Robert Kirby; and three sisters, Myrtle Sutton, Mabel Jones and Melba Kirby.

Bearers are James Page, Steven Jones, Mark Jones, Wayne Jones, Johnnie Long, James Mouser, and Trent Tidwell.
