Services for Robert Kieth Kinstner, 85, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Rodger Arter and Jamie Perry will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Robert went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2017.
He was born October 12, 1932 in Connersville, Indiana to Harold Edward and Vola Mae Reynolds Kinstner. Mr. Kinstner spent his early years in Momence, IL and graduated from Momence High School. Then he and his dad worked at the Ford Plant in Chicago. He later moved to Pueblo, CO where he met and married Erma Lee Henry on January 30, 1959. In November 1963, they moved their family to Momence, IL where he had his own upholstery business. Finally in August 1967, they moved their family to Ada. He went to work for Tom Gault, owner of Gault Tool Co. and remained a devoted employee and friend for 50 years. In addition he retired from Solo Cup Co. after ten years of service. He attended Byng First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Erma, of the home; three sons, Harold G. Kinstner (Leisa), Eddie Kinstner (Barbi), and James Kinstner; and one daughter, Vickie Grissom (Allen); their long time loved one, David Hodges (Elathia); and several foster children; two brothers, Edward Kinstner of Momence, IL and James Swartz of Scotsdale, AZ; two sisters, Wynona Kinstner of Pueblo, CO and Hattie Jean Heppner of Loveland, CO; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Plus numerous family and friends including long-time friend, Barney Barnosky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson-in-law, Cord Hendley; and great-grandson, Marshall Cord Hendley, who are waiting for him in Heaven.
Bearers are the grandsons: Justin Kinstner, Gary Hyatt, Craig and Kyle Grissom, Chris Kinstner and Jon Jones.
