Maudie Mae (Tatum) Jones

Maudie Mae Jones is rejoicing in heaven in the presence of our Lord and her heavenly family. She gained her angel wings on January 25, 2019 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years 30 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Ada.  Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, entrusted to the care of Wadley's Funeral Service.  The compassion, loved and support she showed her family and friends will be greatly missed. 

Maudie was born December 26, 1943 to Clarence and Lorraine Ruth (Miller) Tatum, in Ada, Oklahoma where she was raised and attended school. On December 26, 1961, Maudie Mae Tatum married Melvin Franklin Jones, "Sony", in Gainsville, Texas. She and Sony traveled to California for work and to start their family. She and her family returned to Oklahoma in 1970, where she found the Lord. Maudie attended Evangelistic Temple in Ada, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She served the Lord with all of her heart, and was a prayer warrior for all. Maudie lived her younger years as a wife, and homemaker. She graduated from Lela Beauty College with her beautician license, and was a hairstylist for over 20 years, meeting many friends who became family. Maudie enjoyed traveling, decorating, sewing, and crafting. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Maudie is preceded in death by her parents, Clarance and Lorraine Ruth Tatum; brothers, J.T. Tatum, Jimmy Tatum; sisters, Nadine Summers, Mary Ruth Smith; and a granddaughter, Deena Danae McDaniel. Survivors include her son, Hank Jones and wife, Leanne; daughters, LaDeena McDaniel, Ahlisha Marlow and husband, Norman; grandchildren, Amanda Jones-Centeno, Sarah Mae Jones, Randall McDaniel, Daxon Jones, Brandon McDaniel, Trevor McDaniel, Haley Bennett Beiderman, Dillon Bennett, Caleb Brown; great grandchildren, Collier Goad, Lillie Sue Centeno, Tristian McDaniel, Declan Jones; and many other relatives and friends
