James Arthur "Jimmy" Jeffries

Services for James Arthur “Jimmy” Jeffries, 78, of Ada, area 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dennis Nickell and Adam Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Jeffries passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at his home. He was born August 16, 1937 in Ada to Robert Arthur and Hazel Ratterree Jeffries. He attended Ada schools and lived in this area all his life.

He married Shirley Jean Wofford Nickell May 10, 1997 in Ada. Mr. Jeffries served in the U. S. Air Force in Korea and later the U. S. Army in Japan. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; a son, Dennis Nickell of Wagoner; a granddaughter, Kristen Nanni and her husband Chip of Wagoner; a grandson, Brandon Nickell and wife Lauren of Muskogee; two great-grandchildren, Chase Nanni and Abriana Nanni, both of Wagoner; a nephew, David Weaver of Ahloso; three nieces, Vickie Hillhouse, Bramun, Pam Weaver, Ponca City and Ann Weaver, Dallas, TX; and three special friends, Rhonda Hunn, Hailey Masterson and T. J. Masterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Bearers will be Steve Drow, Chip Nanni, Chase Nanni, Brandon Nickell, Dale Pool and Larry Hillhouse. Honorary bearers will be Eddie Allen and Dr. Gary Paddack.
