Graveside services for Chlokeeta Pearl (Miller) Howard will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, Oklahoma.

Chlokeeta Pearl (Miller) Howard passed away on February 20th, at the age of 95 in McAllen, Texas. She was born October 5, 1928, in Ada, Oklahoma to Noah A. Henderson Miller and Lura E. (Wade) Miller. She attended school in Ada graduating from Ada High School. She worked for AT&T for 25 years. Beginning with Pacific Bell in California and SW Bell in Ada, Oklahoma City, Stillwater, Tulsa and Norman.

She married Chester A. Howard in 1962 at the Baptist Church in Tulsa. Chester passed away 12-12-2003. He served 42 years in military service. They lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C. They retired to Rogers, Arkansas, then became “Winter Texans” in 1985 when they moved to Mission, TX. They moved to McAllen’s Heritage Village in 1996.

Chlokeeta enjoyed travel, art, painting, needle crafts, meeting new friends, shopping, eating, socializing, jelly beans, Rudy’s ribs, and being with family. She loved her family with a passion. She loved to explore any and everywhere she lived or visited. She loved to share all of the wonderful things that she found about her world with those she loved. She was the best tour guide and hostess ever. Kind, loyal, and funny, Chlokeeta invited you in, took good care of you, and left you feeling like the most important person in the world. The memory of her warmth and her sense of humor will be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. She loved to laugh, and she loved life to the fullest!

She is survived by one son, Robert Michael Carroll of McAllen, TX; one step son, Ron Brock of Fletcher, OK; one step daughter and spouse, Lynn Eppes and Bubba of Arlington, TX; and a number of grand /great grandchildren; 3 nieces, Cynthia Brennan, Broken Arrow, OK, Stephanie Doss, St. Louis, MO, and Sondra McAdoo, Pine Bluff, AR; one nephew, Greg McAdoo, Rogers, AR; one granddaughter, Samantha Skinner and children: Noah, Chance and Stephanie Skinner, and Keanna and Caroline Elizabeth Carroll.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Noah A. Henderson Miller and Lura E. (Wade) Miller; husband, Chester A. Howard; sister, Loreta Muriel (Miller) Laxon; and her step daughters, Janie Brock and Chloe Coker.
