Services for Fred Cantwell Hopper, 93, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Criswell Chapel, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery where the Chickasaw Honor Guard will be conducting Honors. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Hopper passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at his home. He was born June 15, 1930 in Ada to Clyde and Ozia Cantwell Hopper.

On December 5, 1953, he married Mary Sue Carter. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Hopper was the owner/operator of Hopper Furniture. In 1985, he was the Skeet Shooter State Champion. Mr. Hopper enjoyed playing golf, hunting and fishing and most of all he loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home; two sons, Freddy Hopper and wife Stacy, of Ada and Rusty Hopper and wife Cherie, of Ada; one daughter, Cindy Brents and husband Bruce, of Ada; four grandchildren, Tiffany Logsdon, Taylor Hopper, Sarah Iverson, and Katy Hood; and six great grandchildren, Willow Hopper, Ruger Iverson, Conner Logsdon, Ty Logsdon, Lilly Cox, and Liam Cox.

Mr. Hopper was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Raymond Hopper, Ruel Hopper, and Truitt Hopper; and one sister, Freda Mullins.

Bearers are Trey Logsdon, Freddy Hopper, Rusty Hopper, Bruce Brents, Cliff Randall, and Taylor Hopper. Honorary bearers are Ruger Iverson, Conner Logsdon, and Ty Logsdon.
