Services for Dorothy Anice Hallum, 96, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Hallum passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at her home. She was born September 30, 1921 at Ada to Hugh Porter and Ida Lee Sarrett Toby. She graduated from Byng High School and attended Byng Vocational School.

She married Cecil Vernon Hallum, Sr. May 27, 1939 in Pontotoc County, OK. He preceded her in death June 13, 1974. Mrs. Hallum was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Valley View Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the Ada First Baptist Church and later Central Church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Wilson and husband John, Ada, John Hallum, Ada and Kathy Hampton and husband Darrell, Wilburton; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Hallum, Ada; fourteen grandchildren, Carl Smith and wife Jessica, Charles Smith, Ivan Smith and wife Janna, Toby Wilson, Jeremy Hallum and wife Gina, Talla Hallum, Benjamin Hallum, Alan Hallum, Katrina Hallum, Brianna Hallum, Dottie Hallum, Billy Hallum, Dewayne Hampton and wife Kelly and Mark Hampton; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, William Porter Hallum and Cecil Vernon Hallum, Jr.; a granddaughter, Amber LeAnne Hallum; a grandson, Darrell Hallum; three brothers; and three sisters.

Grandsons will serve as bearers.

V.L. is survived by two sons, Michael of Ada; Ralph and wife Okie of Ada; grandsons, Michael and wife Crystal of McKinney, TX; Vaughn and wife Shana of Shawnee; granddaughters, Christine and husband Todd of Temecula, CA; Michelle and husband Don of Temecula, CA; step-granddaughter, Jennifer LaRoe of Ada; great-grandchildren, Tripp, Cash, Ryan, James, Sierra, Emily, and in addition to nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orpheline and Vaughn Hall; wife, Norma Faye; brothers, O.D. and Jerry; sister, Elaine Payne; and grandson, David Lowell Hall.
