Graveside services for Nancy Belle (Smith) Fowler, 89, of Madill, formerly of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Rosedale Cemetery, Dr. Rex Clayton will officiate.

Mrs. Fowler died Sunday, April 5, 2020 at an Ardmore hospital. She was born July 15, 1930 in Ada to Thomas Lee and Bertha Welker Smith.

She married Banks Fowler. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Fowler owned and operated Nancy’s Ceramics in Ada. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tishomingo, and enjoyed reading, cooking, and fishing.

Survivors include her son, Harold Scates and wife Bette of Tishomingo; a sister, Vera Ferguson, Apache Junction, AZ; three granddaughters, Stefine Knox and husband Dave, Mt. Belviell, TX and Maranda Ostrom and husband B.J., Broken Arrow, and Kimberly Downard, McKinney, TX; two grandsons, William Scates, Tishomingo, and Theo Scates, Ada; seven great-grandchildren; and two great great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Banks Fowler; son, Nathan Lynn Scates; daughter, Edna Elaine Williamson; and two grandsons, Roy Dean Leighton and Dustin Lee Scates.

**Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, only 10 people may gather at the graveside, per the Governor's Order.
