Services for David Glen Foster, 84, of Ada will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Foster passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his home. He was born at Byng, Oklahoma on September 29, 1937 to John Benjamin Foster and Alma Lou Hubbard Foster. He married the love of his life Susan Guest on July 12, 1968 in Ada and resided in Ada all of his life. David had many jobs over the years, including serving as a small engine repair technician at Ada Auto Supply, a machinist at Spencers Machine Shop, and ultimately became the owner and operator of D&S Machine Shop until he retired in 2001. David served as a Staff Sargent in the National Guard, 4th Battalion-2D Regimen. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed several hobbies including bow hunting, fishing, taxidermy, slalom water skiing, and playing guitar to name a few. He was a member of the Ada Trap and skeet Club.
Survivors include Susan Foster, daughters Cynthia Johnson and husband Brian of New Mexico, Jackie Figueroa and husband Michael of New Mexico, son Glen Foster and wife Brandy of Ada; grandsons Jakus Roberts of Ardmore, Max Roberts of Ada, Jody Roberts of New Mexico, Hunter Johnson of New Mexico, Ryzer Foster of Ada, granddaughters Brianna Johnson Logsdon and husband Zac of Arkansas, Brooklyn Johnson of New Mexico, and step grandchildren Sierra Sawyer and husband July of Ada, Grady Dunkin, Brason and Carter Lorenz of Ada, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty Dempsey and Peggy Allen of Ada and brother Jackie Dale Foster and wife Karen of New Mexico.
Pall bearers are Glen Foster, Jakus Roberts, Max Roberts, Hunter Johnson, Ron Dempsey, and Brian Johnson. Honorary bearers are Kent Foster, Cecile Doyle, Michael Figueroa, Zac Logsdon, Brianna Logsdon, and Jody Roberts.
David was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
