Graveside services for Doris Marie Doty, 84, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. John Haynes will officiate.

Mrs. Doty passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home. She was born November 11, 1932 in Miami, OK to Wesley A and Ruby Giyer Mashburn. She graduated from high school and received an Associate’s Degree from Northeastern A & M at Miami.

She married Roy J. Doty August 15, 1952 in Miami. While her husband was in medical school, Mrs. Doty was a secretary for the University of Oklahoma Law School and later for an oil company. She was a devoted wife and mother and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Roy J. Doty, of the home; three daughters, Kim Doty of Oklahoma City, Diane Doty of Ada and Stephanie Blakey and her husband Joel of Tulsa; a son, David Doty and his wife Lynne of Ada; her grandchildren, Christopher Doty, Carolyn Doty and Amelia Blakey; and a niece, Gretchen Gnoza of Red Oak, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Shirley Froman.

The family would like to thank the staff and employees of McCortney Family Hospice for their loving care of Doris.
