Graveside services for Duane Radley Doane, 93, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 27th at Rosedale Cemetery, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate.

Mr. Doane died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Veteran’s Center in Sulphur. He was born September 20, 1924 in Poplar Bluff, MO to George Earl and Mary Radley Doane. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School and came to this area about 1983 from McAlester.

He married Darla Apple in 1983. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was in the Merchant Marines for four years during WWII. Mr. Doane was employed with Arizona copper mines for four years, then Southern Pacific Trucking Co. for seven years, and retired as a truck driver from TransCon after thirty years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada.

Survivors include two sons, Duane Earl Doane and wife Cindy of Bisbee, AZ and Carl Doane and wife Karen of Sanford, FL; two grandchildren, David Doane and Alyssa Axe and husband Aaron, along with numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Darla Doane.
