Services for Harrel Lee Corvin, 88, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Darrell Phillips and Kendell Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Corvin died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at an Ada nursing home. He was born December 12, 1925 at Beebe, Oklahoma to Walter and Lela Stafford Corvin. He lived in this area all his life and attended Beebe and Vanoss schools.
He married Geraldine Pinley on March 15, 1945. They were married for 69 years. Mr. Corvin was a farmer and rancher. He had also worked in oilfield service and service stations. Mr. Corvin was a longtime member of the Church of God of Prophecy where he had played the drums.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Corvin, of the home; his nieces and families, Pat Jarrett Briley and husband Leonard, Dana Jarrett; Gina Maqusi and Emily and Jordan Maqusi; Elana Beaver and husband Ron, Kayla Luce and husband Billy, Ashley, Maci and Jadyn Luce, Pam Simpson; Karen McKenzie and husband Eddie; Tricia Treadwell and husband Jason, Faith and Grace Treadwell; Barbara Ragland and husband Gilbert, Shelly Henry and husband Darrin and Clayton Henry; Carry O’Conner and husband Michael, Sarah and Whitney O’Conner; his nephews and families, Donald Pinley and wife Jamie, Jessica and Ben and wife Nagalya and Xelaia; Ronald Pinley and Christopher; Terry Pinley and wife Angie, Devin and Mahala Pinley, Bobby Pinley and wife Samantha, Garrett, Cooper and Brandon; and special cousins, Glen and Judy Pinley and families and Ted and Charles Archer and families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Loren Corvin; his in-laws, Ira and Louisa Pinley, Bertie Pinley, Veda Duncan and husband James, Albert Pinley and wife Audie, Jimmy Pinley and Fred Jarrett.
Bearers will be Billy Luce, Jordan Maqusi, Ron Beaver, Donald Pinley, Ronald Pinley and Terry Pinley. Honorary bearers will be Leonard Briley, Glen Pinley, Ted Archer, Charles Archer, Rusty Hudson, Rusty Hopper, Dayton Phillips, Johnny Lane, Earl Hood, Sherif Maqusi, Charles Bazzell, Bob Brown, Deb Gillum, Bob Stroud, Charles Coplen and Cliff Williams.
