Services for Mary Berniece Carter, 72, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church, Rev. Vicki Collins will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Carter passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at a local hospital. She was born February 28, 1943 in St. Louis, OK to Johnny and Ruth Kuykendall Miller. She attended Byng schools.

She married Jim Carter December 1, 1982. Mrs. Carter was a beautician and shop owner at Sulphur Springs, TX and later an instructor for beauticians. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jim, of the home; two step-sons, Bruce Carter of Edmond and Randy Carter of Oklahoma City; and two sisters, Oleta Cartwright of California and Charlsie Wilson of Ada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Vera Cushman and Wanda Etier.

Bearers will be Dan Clemons, Larry Krebs, Danny Baker, Mike Harwell, Steve Huston and Eddie Campbell. Honorary bearers will be Wanda Lair, Vickie Harwell, JoAnn Verbridge, Becky Lutes, DeAnn Stettler, Mary Dawe, Karen Walters, Joyce Medford, Paula Sheffield and Kris Thompson.
