Services for Troy Eugene Cannon, 81, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2023 at Southwest Church of Christ, Floyd Kaiser and David Dirrim will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Cannon passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 in Oklahoma City. He was born January 24, 1942 in Roff, OK to Troy V. and Myrtle Younts Cannon.

Mr. Cannon graduated from Byng High School in 1961. On October 4, 1963 he married Verna Mae Perkins. He worked for Wrangler for about 40 years.

Mr. Cannon was known for his sense of humor. He loved traveling locally, as well as to other countries.

Mr. Cannon is survived by his son, Ernie Cannon of Ada; daughter, Laura Merrell and husband Steven of Lindsay; six grandchildren, Kylar Merrell, Trace Merrell and wife Jessica, Kaden Merrell, Torii Merrell, Shawn Cannon and Lexis Cannon; one great granddaughter, Averie Compton; and one brother, Larry Cannon and wife Connie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Verna Mae Cannon; and son, Troy Dean Cannon.
