Services for Phillip Duane Briggs, 85, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Briggs passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at an Ada nursing home. He was born December 10, 1937 at Ada to Auod Edgar and Violet Charity Parker Briggs.

Mr. Briggs was a Math Professor at East Central State College (now East Central University) from 1964 until retiring in 1998. He was also a cattle rancher.

Survivors include a brother, Trent Briggs and wife Diane of Ada; and nephews and nieces, Leslie Cook, Charity Key, Danny Briggs, Janet Briggs and Robert Briggs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Briggs; and a nephew, Mike Briggs.
