Nadine Evelyn (Reed) Boring

ADA-Services for Nadine Evelyn Boring, 84, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Boring died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at a local hospital. She was born November 19, 1924 at Seminole, Oklahoma to Ira C. and Dollie Moore Reed. She graduated from Varnum High School in Seminole and moved to Ada in 1943.

She married Johnnie Boring January 23, 1945 in Allen, Oklahoma. She worked for the ASCS office, Oklahoma Extension Office and for Jack Whomble, CPA. She was the secretary of the Rural Water District #4 until it was disbanded. Mrs. Boring was also a homemaker and an active member of Central Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Boring, of the home; two daughters, Carol Jane Boring Burleigh and her husband Charles Edward Burleigh, Ada, and Brenda Sue Boring, Pauls Valley; a granddaughter, Misty Dawn Owens Weddle and her husband Randy Lynn Weddle, Denton, Texas; a grandson, Christopher “Jay Boy” Owens, Pauls Valley; and twin great grandsons, Ryan Lynn Weddle and Johnny Reid Weddle, Denton, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Lewis Reed, Johnny Reed, and Sydney Clayton Reed.

Bearers will be Pete Malloy, Benny Cope, Bill Adams, Bobby Price, Chris Deaton, and Bobby Deaton. Honorary bearers will be Jerry Dyer, Olen Robbins, and Gail Blankenship.
