Services for Johnnie James Boring, 100, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Boring died Sunday, February 19, 2023 at home. He was born February 10, 1923 at Ada, Oklahoma to John L and Fannie Boring. He graduated from Pecan Grove in Ada and lived in Ada his entire life.

He married Nadine Evelyn Boring January 23, 1945 in Allen, Oklahoma. He worked for Coca Plant, President of Farm Bureau, County Commissioner of Ada, cattle Rancher and a Mason. Mr. Boring was an active member of First Baptist Church and taught 8th grade Sunday School for 50+ years.

Survivors include, two daughters, Carol Jane Boring Burleigh and her husband Charles Edward Burleigh, Ada, and Brenda Sue Boring, Denton, Texas, a granddaughter, Misty Dawn Owens Weddle, Denton, Texas, a grandson, Christopher “Jay Boy” Owens, Denton, Texas and twin great grandsons, Ryan Lynn Weddle and Johnny Reid Weddle, Denton, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Nadine Evelyn Boring.

Bearers will be Mark White, Derek Smith, Luther Moore, Bobby Deaton, Chris Deaton & Roy Deaton. Honorary bearers will be Benny Cope, Mark Eisenberg and Pete Malloy.
