Services for Norman Lee Bolin, 92, of Ada, OK are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kendall Martin and Bob Passmore will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Bolin passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his daughter’s residence surrounded by his family. He was born May 20, 1926 to Robert Lee and Georgia Hopson Bolin in the community east of Bebee.
He married Joyce McCurley October 1, 1957. Mr. Bolin worked most of his life in the oilfield. During the summer months, he worked in the hayfield and farmed until he no longer could drive a tractor. Later, he “retired” to work at a carwash in Ada until he physically could no longer work.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of the home; his children, LaVona and Kenny Graves, Asher, Roberta and Robbie Breslin, Ada, Dean Bolin, Ada, Norma and “Bucket” Thomas, Stratford, Jason and Amy Pryor, The Woodlands, TX and Cassie and Matt Phillips, Wynnewood; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Norman Joe Bolin and Boyd Lynn Bolin; an infant daughter, Linda Ann Bolin; an infant son, Jimmy Bolin; grandson, Cody Dean Bolin; great-grandson, Coleman Bolin; and a brother, Robert Eldridge Bolin.
Bearers will be Jason Pryor, Robbie Breslin, Jr., Dean Bolin, Randy Hurley, Jupie Booth, Matt Phillips and Dalton Hurley. Honorary bearers will be his sons-in-law; and Bill Bolin, JB Bolin, Walt Lamb and Jim Miller; and grandsons and great-grandsons.
