Services for Joyce Bolin will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at Criswell Funeral Home, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be held form 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Joyce passed away September 12, 2022 at the age of 83 at her daughter's home in Stratford, Oklahoma. Joyce was born April 1, 1939 to Marvin Lewis and Vesta L. McCurley. She was one of eight children. She grew up in the Paoli and Pauls Valley areas. She attended school at Paoli.

At the age of 18, while working at the Hamburger King in Ada, Joyce met Norman Bolin. They were married October 1, 1957 in Coal County, Oklahoma. They lived in the Pickett area, Okmulgee and in February 1975, they moved into their forever home on Highway 19 at Pickett Center. Joyce was mother to Norman Joe, LaVona, Roberta, Dean, Boyd, Norma, Jason, and Cassie. She became Nanny Bolin as grandbabies started arriving.

Joyce worked for Tom Crabtree at Ada Coca Cola and Vending, she was a nurse at Valley View Hospital, Jan Francis Nursing Home and The Colonial Nursing Home in Pauls Valley. She was a bus driver for Vanoss School and bus driver and custodian for Pickett-Center school.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; mother and father. Brothers Robert "Bob" McCurley, Jerald McCurley and Larry Keith McCurley. Sisters Emma L. Moore and Barbara G. Barnett. Step Son, Norman Joe Bolin; Son Boyd Lynn Bolin, Grandson Cody Dean Bolin and great grandson Coleman Bolin.

Joyce is survived by one brother, Harold McCurley (Jean) of Oklahoma City, OK; one Sister, Glenna Young of Lampassas, Texas. Her children: LaVona Graves (Kenny) of Asher, OK, Roberta Breslin (Robbie) of Ada, OK, Dean Bolin of Gaar Corner, Norma (Bucket) Thomas of Stratford, Jason (Amy) Pryor of The Woodlands, Texas, and Cassie (Matt) Phillips of Wynnewood, OK. Seventeen grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
