Services for Lorene Ballard, 94, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Rev. Travis Muse will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballard died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at her home. She was born October 10, 1920 in the Bebee Community, west of Ada to Thomas and Pearl Jones Roddy. She graduated from Vanoss High School.
She married James Orval Ballard December 24, 1938. He preceded her in death January 15, 2010 in Ada. Mrs. Ballard was a licensed practical nurse and dietician at Ballard Nursing Home for many years. She was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Ballard and wife Nyta and Jerry Ballard and wife Vickie, all of Ada; two daughters, Anita Arbabi and husband Houshang of Ada and Sue Russ and husband Alvin of Stratford; a brother, Eueldean Roddy of Midwest City; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Alan Arbabi, David Arbabi, Chris Ballard, Steve Russ, Elizabeth Fowler and C. J. Fowler. The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 508 W. 6th, Ada, OK 74820.
