Services for James Henry Trammell, 75, of Byng are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng.

Mr. Trammell died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born August 1, 1937 in Seminole, Oklahoma to James Henry and Emma May Malloy Trammell. He attended Centerview grade school and graduated from Centerview High School. He attended Murray State College in Tishomingo.

He married Linda McDaniel on March 15, 1957. Mr. Trammell moved to Ada in August 1967 from Centerview, which is near Prague, Oklahoma. He was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone from 1958 until retiring in 1988. Mr. Trammell served in the National Guard.

Survivors include Linda Trammell; their children, Brent Trammell of Pauls Valley, Beth Collins and husband Dan of Purcell, and Bryan Trammell and Amy Milkawich of Arvada, CO; five grandchildren, Bandy Trammell, Cheri Branscum and husband Matt, Troy Miller and wife Haley, Drew Miller and wife Tara and Joseph James Trammell; six great grandchildren, Makayla Newberry, Peyton Newberry, Brooklyn Branscum, Lane Branscum, Tucker Miller and Harper Miller; a brother, Bill Trammell and wife Phyllis; a sister, Sharon Gibson; and many nieces and nephews.

Bearers will be Troy Miller, Drew Miller, Tommy Key, Rudy Rue, Noah Eddy and Rocky Anderson.

Honorary bearers will be Dr. Bob Chatfield, Dr. Roy Doty, Bob Barrett, Dempsey Basler, Jerry Edwards, Rick Barrett and Don Butler.
