Services for Alma Ruth Nipps Sjurset, 92, of Sapulpa, formerly of Byng are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Char McCurdy will officiate. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery, Byng.

Alma passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at her home. She was born November 8, 1927 at Happyland to William Ben and Minnie Hart Nipps. She attended and graduated from Byng Schools plus Connors State College.

Survivors include a son, Jon Parks (Terry), Byng; daughters: Alma Jean Hankins, Los Gatos, CA; Lorraine Parks (Tom), Gold Hill, OR; and Susie Tingle (Joe), Sapulpa; sisters are Carrie Davidson, Marvel, AR and Wanda Brewer (Tom), Byng; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Alma adopted all that entered her home, everyone knew her as “Mom” or “Grandma” and was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Gene Parks, Frank Anderson and Harold Sjurset; three sons, Frankie Anderson, Jr., Ronnie Parks, Sr., and Andy Anderson; a granddaughter, Sundancer Sweat Pea; grandson, Benjamin Smith; and great-granddaughter, Kristen Braun and her baby Avery Braun.
