Services for Jerry Douglas Todd, 79, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Todd passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Ada Care Center. He was born October 30, 1939 in California to Doug and Chursey Lee Rhoads Todd. He attended school and graduated in California.

Mr. Todd was a longtime paper carrier for the Ada News, and received the “Ada News Carrier of the Year” award and also a four-time Carrier of the month award. He was a former custodian at Ada High School and also had worked at the McAlester Ammunition Depot. Mr. Todd was a longtime member of the Ada First Baptist Church. He was an honorary member of the Ada Rotary Club where he was a Rotary Club Harris-Fellow winner. He received the City of Ada Community Award, and he was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He received the KWTV Channel 9 “Someone You Should Know” Award. Mr. Todd was an avid local sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Beverly June Johnson. Survivors include a niece, Linda Arnold of Calvin; and nephew, David Holland of Norman and numerous other relatives and friends.
