Services for Betty Lois Murr, 84, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Kendell Martin, Darrell Phillips and Jimmy Keith will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Murr passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at her home. She was born September 10, 1932 at the Franks Community (near Fittstown), OK to Tom and Mabel Hart Kidwell. She attended McLish schools and graduated from McLish High School in 1950. She attended East Central University.

She married Alfred Murr March 21, 1952. He preceded her in death December 2, 2016. Mrs. Murr retired as the traffic manager at Brockway Glass Company after 38 ½ years of service. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Murr had taught Sunday school for many years at various churches she had attended. She was an avid reader, especially of the Bible and loved cats.

Survivors include her cousin, who was like a sister to her, Faye Holland of Stonewall, and other cousins, Gene Pittman of Blanchard, Onus and Sue Jordan of Fittstown, Cotton and Bonnie Jordan of Hawkins, TX, Vestal Cole and Betti Cole of Ada, Dahlia May Mills, Sapulpa, Joe Wayne Jordan, Sulphur Springs, TX, Cindy and Kendell Martin, Wynnewood and Craig and Kathy Sweat, Hide Away, TX.

Bearers will be Micah Martin, Craig Sweat, Rusty Hudson and Kendell Martin. Honorary bearers will be her cousins, Onus Jordan, Vestal Cole, Cotton Jordan, Joe Wayne Jordan and Gene Pittman.
