Services for Lois Marie Rice Kramer Gilley, 93, of Norman will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Rev. Harold Ware and Rev. Tracy Scheer will officiate.

Lois passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 in Norman. She was born on April 15, 1929 to parents Ronald and Martha Rice in Mitchell, South Dakota. She grew up a “Preacher’s Kid” as her father, a Methodist minister, served congregations in South Dakota, Wyoming, and Minnesota.

In 1947, she married Leo George Kramer in Melrose, Minnesota and they had two sons. In 1952, the family moved to Ada, Oklahoma where Leo worked with the United States Post Office and she was an Elementary teacher with the Latta Public Schools. Lois and both of her sons were graduates of East Central University in Ada. Leo preceded her in death in 1996. On August 2, 1997 she married Carl Dean Gilley.

In 2019, following Carl’s move to the Veteran’s Center in Ardmore, Lois moved to Baptist Village in Ada. In 2022, she relocated to Rivermont Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care in Norman where Enhabit Hospice assisted her in her final days. The family appreciates the excellent care she received in each facility.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Lee, his spouse Rhonda and their daughter Amanda; Gary Michael and his spouse Linda, their son Michael, his spouse Anne and their children, Henry, Amelia, and Julianne; daughter, Katie and her spouse Jeremie Edwards; her siblings, Patricia Anderson, Richard, and Bob; and her husband, Carl Gilley.

Lois was preceded in death by Leo; her parents; and her brother, David.

Honorary bearers are Lonnie Long, Tommy Beddow, Darryl Hatcher, Tom Haney, Jerry Lee, and Michael O’Brien.
