Annelle (McKendree) Ashcraft

Services for Annelle Ashcraft, 88, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Brian Matthews will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Ashcraft passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at a local nursing home. She was born August 5, 1930 at Ada to Earl and Ora Ewing McKendree. She graduated from Ada High School in 1948 at from Central State University in Edmond. She received a Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma.

She married Orville Ashcraft in 1952. Mrs. Ashcraft taught school and was a Guidance Counselor at Prague, Midwest City and in Pennsylvania for a total of 28 years. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Ashcraft of Ada and Jack Ashcraft and wife Sandy of Gilbertsville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Ashcraft; and a brother, Earl McKendree, Jr.
