Viewing for Willa Dean Abbott, 94, of Ada, will be from 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 until Noon, Wednesday, January 6, 2020.

Willa Dean passed from this life to her heavenly home on December 29, 2020. Willa Dean was born in Ada, Oklahoma on September 8, 1926 to William P. "Bud" and Elizabeth Walker. She attended Byng School for most of her school years. She graduated in 1944 from Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She married Lonnie L. Abbott on December 20, 1947 in Oklahoma City. After getting married, Lonnie and Willa Dean lived in the Ada and Byng area for their entire lives. Willa Dean worked in secretarial positions at the Pontotoc County Courthouse, Service Chevrolet, Motor Sales, and Byng School. She attended Trinity Baptist Church since 1955 and worked in the church nursery for 20 years.

Willa Dean enjoyed Thunder basketball, gospel music, taking and printing pictures of the people she loved, and spending time with her family. Those close to Willa Dean knew that she had a strong faith in the Lord, a beautiful, sweet, giving spirit, and a strong, unconditional love for her family.

Willa Dean was preceded in death by her parents, William P. "Bud" and Elizabeth Walker, two brothers William Eual Walker and Donald Arnell Walker, and her husband Lonnie L. Abbott.

Survivors include daughter, Tamara Snider and husband Byron of Ada, Oklahoma, grandson Zach Sutton of Columbus, Ohio, grandson Brent Snider and wife Megan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, granddaughter Savanna Sutton and partner Shane Cristelli of Ada, Oklahoma, two great grandsons Luca Cristelli and Nico Cristelli of Ada, Oklahoma, sister Mary Arnold of Coleman, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

Willa Dean will be buried next to her husband of 49 years at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Covid took our beautiful mother and grandmother, Willa Dean, and it was one of her final wishes that no other person suffer from this dreadful virus. For this reason we will plan to memorialize our precious Willa Dean at a later date when it is safe.
