Sandra Lea Williams, 51, of McAlester, passed peacefully from this earth on July 11, 2019 at her brother's home surrounded by her family. Sandy was born November 15, 1967 to James and Reba Robertson. Sandy loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors in nature, going on car rides, the ocean, and sitting on the beach; and especially loved going to the casino with her brother and mom. Sandy was a proud mother and grandmother. Her children, Gary Boggess, Brandon Boggess, and Vanessa Williams, never doubted for a second that they were loved. Sandy joins her father: James, her sister: Debbie, her husband: Van, grandparents, and many other loved ones in heaven. She leaves behind a legacy of loved ones, family, and friends. She is survived by her mother: Reba of McAlester; brother: James and wife, Brenda of the home; sons: Gary and Brandon of Oklahoma City; daughter: Vanessa of Oklahoma City; honorary daughter: Summer Galbraith of Oklahoma City; nephews: James Jeffrey and Amber of McAlester, Jimmy Williams and Ashley and niece, Myah, of McAlester, Randy Patterson and wife, Emily of McAlester, Jacob Patterson of McAlester; great-nephew and little buddy: Trenton; grandchildren: Quinton Boggess, Justin Boggess, Kaila Henington, Jimmy Henington; many cousins, aunts, and other family and friends; special lifelong friends: Patty Matthews of Oklahoma City; and cousin” Lisa Sockey of McAlester. Sandy faced her battle with cancer on her terms. She lived and died with dignity, a sense of humor, and wanted to spend the time she had left on earth with her family and friends. Our family would like to extend a special thanks to McAlester Regional and Southeast Hospice. Amanda and Sonya, you ladies are a class act! The love, care, and compassion you showed to our family will never be forgotten. You are our angels! Special thanks to Chaplain Jared. You are a blessing! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Sandy's wishes were to have no funeral service, and her family will honor and respect her wishes. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Tannehill Cemetery by her daddy and sister. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local homeless shelter in her honor as she was passionate about giving out care packages to the homeless in Oklahoma City.
